Assistant Library Officer (23240318)
The Library now seeks an enthusiastic team player to join the Digital Initiatives and Research Cluster (DIR). The successful candidate will be a proactive and eager learner, working in a team to provide support in diverse areas of research services. The position will:
Collect and verify publication, award, and media coverage data from faculty and input them into the University’s Integrated Research Information and Management System (IRIMS);
Assist in the review of the existing award and media coverage forms provided in IRIMS;
Draft user guidelines and answer faculty enquiries related to award and media coverage data;
Provide general administrative support for IRIMS and other research support services provided by the Library;
Provides clerical support for other Cluster functions; and
Perform shift counter duties.
Applicants should possess at least a bachelor’s degree with solid work experience in IRIMS, institutional repositories (IR), or similar research information platforms. This position requires someone with an eye for detail, good communication skills, and a service-oriented attitude. Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are important. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an Excel and English written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
