Duties

 

The appointee will be required but not limited to:

  1. support counter services including the process of loans, returns, shelving, enquiries and other library routine activities;
  2. assist in IT-related tasks in library;
  3. assist in general office administration;
  4. perform other duties assigned by the Librarian and/or delegates; and
  5. work on multiple campuses and shift duties in evenings, weekends and public holidays on a roster basis.

 

Requirements

 

Applicants should:

  1. possess a higher diploma or associate degree or above, preferably in library and information management or IT-related disciplines;
  2. have good IT knowledge and be proficiency in computer applications including MS Office, Outlook and Chinese word processing;
  3. have relevant working experience in library would be an advantage;
  4. have good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  5. have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  6. be responsible, proactive, self-motivated, and be able to work in a team environment.

 

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Part-time Executive Assistant (Library)

Duties

The appointee will serve one of the following working place and time:

  • King’s Park Campus (Mon – Fri: 5:00pm – 9:00pm, Sat: 10:00am – 6:00pm); or
  • Kwai Hing Campus (Mon – Fri: 9:00am – 6:00pm).

Working Period: Sep 2022 – Aug 2023

The appointee will be required but not limited to:

  1. assist patrons in the use of library services, resources and facilities;
  2. support the arrangements of library workshops and events;
  3. provide clerical support towards library operations;
  4. perform shelving and shelf-reading; and
  5. carry out any other appropriate duties as needed.
Requirements

Applicants should:

  1. possess or currently pursuing a sub-degree or above;
  2. be willing to learn and with strong sense of responsibility;
  3. have good communication skills and teamwork spirit;
  4. be proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word;
  5. be available for 8 hours (or above) per week for training or duties; and
  6. preference will be given to candidates who can work at night and weekend shifts.
