The Library is looking for a high calibre individual to fill the position of Officer in the Administration Office. He/she will perform a wide spectrum of administrative duties, including providing executive and operation support, assisting in drafting tendering documents for procurement of the Library’s equipment and supplies, translation of tendering documents, and liaising with the Purchasing Office, the Finance Office and vendors. He/she should also be able to use MS Access or Excel VBA to setup a database for archiving tendering documents for easy retrieval in the future. The appointee might also need to use MS Visio for various workflow documentations. Other duties include streamlining tendering procedures, inputting data to the database, data cleansing, proof reading, clearing backlogs and updating staff manual and other documents on the staff cloud.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of working experience. Prior experience of working in tertiary institutions would be an advantage. The appointee is expected to have a good command of English and Chinese with basic programming, analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure, with attention to details and confidence to work with figures. (Duration: 1 year)
