Project Co-ordinator II
Reporting to the Medical Librarian, the appointee will work in the Li Ping Medical Library located at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Major duties include (a) providing research consultation services to the faculty students and staff; (b) providing support on research related activities; (c) handling administrative and operational issues; (d) providing user services, including front-line enquiry and counter services; (e) assisting in conducting online workshops and learning activities; (f) assisting in library renovation and facilities related project works including liaison work with different parties; and (g) other duties as assigned. Shift duties in the evenings, at weekends or on holidays at library counter are required.
Applicants should have (a) a Bachelor’s degree; (b) at least 2 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably in academic libraries; (c) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (d) excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; and (e) the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in using library management system and searching library databases will be an advantage.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
