Dr. FAN Wing Chung (范永聰博士), Senior Lecturer, History Department at Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Fan will speak on “Hallyu” (The Korean Wave) : Bloom and Reflection.
“Hallyu”（The Korean Wave） is the most popular and eye-catching cultural phenomenon in the world in past two decades. It has not only made Korea a “Cultural Power”, but also attracts scholars from different academic disciplines to study this special cultural phenomenon. This sharing session aims to briefly account for the rise and development of the “Hallyu”, and try to explore the reflections on this cultural phenomenon in recent years.
Attendance Requirement
Under the latest directions of Cap. 599F, from December 1 to December 14, 2022, wedding banquet/catering banquet for no more than 240 persons are allowed. A person participating in a banquet (A banquet refers to a situation in which customers exceeding the number are allowed to be seated together at one table (i.e. exceeding 12 persons) for dining together at a catering premises with a common purpose.) in a catering premises must, before entering the premises, must produce a photo showing the RAT-negative testing kit, on which the name of the customer as well as the day and time of taking the RAT are marked, of a test conducted within the preceding 24 hours.
Members who will attend the AGM only are also required to meet the requirement.
