Guest Speaker
Dr. KAN Tai-keung (靳棣強博士), Co-founder, KL&L Design Co. Dr. Kan will speak on “Men. Culture. Design”.
Dr. Kan Tai-keung was born in 1942 in China and resided in Hong Kong since 1957. First studying art and design in 1964, and started his design career in 1967. His works have received critical acclaim, being frequently exhibited around the world and collected by many prominent museums. He was the first dean of Shantou University Cheung Kong Art and Design School, and now a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale, an advisor of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, and the honorary advisor of Hong Kong Museum of Art.
Dr. Kan received the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 1999 and the Silver Bauhinia Star in 2010, for his distinguished contributions in community. In 2005, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and an Honorary Fellowship from Vocational Training Council in 2012.
