HKLA 2024 3rd Local Visit to Aberdeen Technical School Library & Hong Kong International School – Upper Primary Library
Before the semester starts, we are having our 3rd local visit at the end of August 2024. Luckily, we are happy to have the Libraries in Aberdeen Technical School (ATS) and Hong Kong International School (HKIS) – Upper Primary to host the tour guides for us.
While ATS is approaching its 90th anniversary, it is a Catholic subsidized boarding school founded by Salesians of Don Bosco for boys in Hong Kong. In addition, the old wing school building is a Grade III historic building in Hong Kong, and the school started building a new wing in 2006. (ATS homepage for more details)
HKIS officially opened in Repulse Bay in 1967, it was the first school in Hong Kong with a U.S. education program. Today it is a co-educational private international school in Hong Kong serving students from Reception 1 to Grade 12. The school undertook a complete renovation of the Lower and Upper Primary Campus in Repulse Bay in 2017 and 2018, and we are excited to visit their renovated library.
