Academic integrity at K-12 : From Policy to Practice
The speaker will share how he, as a Teacher-Librarian has implemented policies and enhancing academic integrity literacy across the school. A way forward, he will discuss tools, resources, strategies and evidences that have supported his journey thus far. One dimension of his journey is centered on processes and people issues involved in setting up academic integrity. Another dimension is around policy – school-wide academic honesty policy and, ‘citation and referencing continuum’. A portion of the session will be allotted for the participants to share their academic integrity/honesty best practices, what are their struggles and successes. The goal is for everyone to leave with at least one better idea that can be implemented immediately.
