Research Analyst, APAC
Job Description
Summary:
The Research Analyst will provide high-quality research and current awareness services using online and print resources. S/he will be responsible for collection management, circulation services and assist APAC Research Manager in carrying out assigned tasks to support the information needs of the lawyers and staff members in the region.
This role is based in the Hong Kong office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-level, customizable research and analytics in legal, business and other subjects
- Perform news and monitoring services
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining the catalogues and physical library
- Contribute to the preparation of instructional and department marketing material
- Participate in collection development including new databases, websites and print material and liaise with information vendors as required
- Provide training on research strategies and resources
- Liaise with the global Library & Research Team in the US/UK by coordinating research resources and participating team projects
- Work on special projects or any other duties assigned to fully meet the requirements of this position

Education and/or Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or 3 years’ experience in a research environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Diploma or Degree in Library Studies or Information Management or a related discipline
- Strong technical skills, including familiarity with MS Office, social media, and other related technology tools.
- Work experience in a law library will definitely be an advantage.
