April, local visits to the library of Hong Kong Shue Yan University and Po Leung Kuk Museum. May, overseas study visit to Xian, exchanges with sectors of provincial library, public library and university library. August, the Association held the HKLA Education and Career Forum.
August, representatives of the Association attended a public consultation forum to present views of the Association on the Government’s refined proposals to strengthen copyright protection, after collecting views of the Association.
September, local visits to Hong Kong Monetary Information Centre and Library of Hong Kong Police Force.
October, hosted a one-day international conference entitled “Innovate and Motivate: Staff Development for Quality Library Service”, delivered by professionals of library field from Germany, China, Macau and Hong Kong.
December, presented the first professional HKLA Biennial Award.
