Mr. Kendall Crilly was elected President.

March, hosted the first online session of “What’s Trending in the Field”. Two presentations are given, “Digital Scholarship and Libraries: The Experience of HKBU”, and “From Silo Database to Open Digital Scholarship Infrastructure: Design and Development of the New Hong Kong Literature Database”.

April, organized the second talk of “What’s Trending in the Field”. “Building a FAIR-Research Information Management System at Lingnan University” and “Digital scholarship in HKU, and the Libraries’ response” are presented.

May, co-host with Goethe Institut for the online webinar, “From a place of learning to a co-working space”.

June, implemented new payment methods (Wechat and Payme) as alternatives for membership renewal payment.

July, collaborated with the HKPL and held the 2022 Hong Kong Library Education and Career Forum. Moreover, the third session of “What’s Trending in the Field” was organized with two sharing talks, “The Similarity and Differences: The comparison of two repository projects in VTC” and “Preserving the Academy Archives: from DigiTool to Alma Digital”.

September, Vice President Wilson Chu assumed the Presidency after Kendall Crilly was incapacitated. Joe Chow was elected the Vice President by Council members.

October, held the fourth session of “What’s Trending in the Field”. “Academic integrity at K-12 : From Policy to Practice” and “Out of a school library perspective – How do we communicate with authorities and decision makers?” are presented.

December, held the HKLA AGM via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Kan Tai-keung was invited as keynote speaker and the theme of his presentation is “Men • Culture • Design”.
